Bus Information

Whitikahu School provides a bus service for eligible students. We expect all students to demonstrate our CARES values while traveling to and from school.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the school bus service, students must meet the following distance requirements:

• Students aged 9 and under: Must live at least 3.2km from the school.

• Students aged 10 and over: Must live at least 4.8km from the school.

Morning Route

The morning bus follows this set route:

1. Departs from Gordonton School.

2. Travels along Whitikahu Road.

3. Turns down Tenfoot Road to 392 Tenfoot Road (turns here).

4. Returns to Whitikahu Road and merges onto Orini Road.

5. Travels to 1787 Orini Road (turns here) and returns back along Orini Road.

6. Turns right and heads back to school.

Afternoon Route

The afternoon bus repeats the morning route, with Orini Road being the first drop-off point.

Important Safety Note

Parents and caregivers are advised to closely supervise their children when crossing the road at pick-up and drop-off points.
